Main Features of the Asian Karobar Card
Loan Limit and Tenure
- Maximum Loan Amount: PKR 1,000,000
- Repayment Term: 3 years
- Grace Period: First 3 months after card issuance
- Repayment Plan:
- First 12 months: Revolving credit facility
- Next 24 months: Fixed monthly installments
How the Loan Can Be Used
Eligible businesses can use the funds for:
- Paying vendors and suppliers
- Clearing utility bills, government taxes, and fees
- Conducting digital transactions via mobile apps or POS systems
- Withdrawing up to 25% of the loan amount in cash for business needs
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the Asaan Karobar Card, applicants must:
- Applicants must be Pakistani citizens currently residing in Punjab.
- Possess a valid CNIC and an active mobile number
- Own or intend to launch a business within Punjab
- Be aged between 21 to 57 years
- Maintain a good credit history
- Successfully clear a psychometric and credit assessment test
Note: Each individual or business can submit only one application.
Application Process – Step by Step
- Go to the official Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) Website
- Fill out the online application form
- Pay the PKR 500 non-refundable processing fee
- Upload all required documents
- Digital verification of CNIC, business address, and credit background will follow
Loan Disbursement and Repayment Details
- 50% of the credit limit will be made available during the first six months
- The remaining 50% will be accessible after verifying proper use and registering with PRA or FBR
Repayment Plan:
- After the grace period, borrowers must repay 5% of the used balance monthly
- The remaining balance will be divided into 24 equal installments
Allowed and Restricted Transactions
Permitted Uses:
- Business-related digital payments
- Vendor and supplier settlements
- Government dues and utility bills
- POS and mobile wallet transactions
Prohibited Uses:
- Personal expenditures
- Non-business financial activities
Fees
- Annual Fee: PKR 25,000 + FED (deducted from credit limit)
- Late Payment Charges: As per bank policy
- Insurance and Card Issuance Fees: Covered by the program
Security and Verification Measures
- A digitally signed personal guarantee provided by the applicant is required.
- Mandatory life insurance
- Physical business site verification by The Urban Unit
- Business registration with PRA or FBR is compulsory within 6 months
