Eligibility Criteria for the Dhee Rani Scheme
To be eligible for the program:
- Residency in Punjab is required for the bride to qualify.
- She should belong to one of the following categories:
- Orphaned girls
- Girls with disabilities
- Daughters of persons with disabilities
- Girls from extremely poor families
- Only those between 18 to 40 years old can apply.
- The application can be submitted by the bride, her parents, or a legal guardian on her behalf.
- If applications exceed the allocated limit, electronic balloting will be used for selection.
