As part of the first phase, 100,000 laptops will be distributed based on academic merit. The government has also hinted at expanding the scheme to 500,000 laptops in future phases.
Who Can Apply? – Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for a laptop under PMYLS 2025, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Institution Type: Must be enrolled at a public sector university or college in Pakistan, including those located in FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan, and AJK.
- Academic Record: Minimum 3.0 CGPA (or 70% marks for the annual system).
- Program Level: Students pursuing BS, Master’s, MPhil, or PhD are eligible.
- ID Requirement: A valid CNIC or B-Form is compulsory.
