Big News! Sugar Prices Take a Shocking Turn — What’s Going On with Sugar?

In Peshawar, sugar has become very expensive. The price has gone up to Rs. 200 per kilogram in some shops. This has made it harder for people to buy daily food items.

In wholesale markets, sugar is selling for Rs. 175 per kg, but in normal stores, the price is between Rs. 180 and Rs. 200. A full sack of sugar (50 kg) now costs around Rs. 8,800.

This price increase is happening because of hot weather and Eid preparations. People are using more sugar in cold drinks and sweets. That’s why the demand is high. Some shopkeepers are also selling old sugar stock at the new high prices .

In just a few days, sugar has become Rs. 60 more expensive per kg. Many people are worried because they already have many other expenses.

Citizens are asking the government to check the prices and take control. If prices keep going up, it will become harder for people to manage their homes.
